February 2012, Studio Grow Blackhawk

I went to a birthday party at Studio Grow in Blackhawk Plaza yesterday and it was awesome! You get the entire space to yourself which included a huge playroom and separate room to eat (you can bring in your own food). I didn't know you could have parties here... I'm sure a lot of people would love to have their child's celebration here (good for ages 5 and under in my opinion).

I love Studio Grow. It is a great play space for kids to explore (mine are 2 and 4). Plenty of things to keep them busy - music / dance room, building blocks, play house / play kitchen, dolls, dress up, puppet theatre, art room with variety of mediums to use, ball pit, roller coaster, basketball hoop, climbing gym. Enough to keep the boys active and entertained! Clean, friendly staff, great place to spend a rainy day. I've read in some of the reviews complaints about the price. First, I get a Green Card which gave me a 20% discount. The last time I went, it was $9 per kid (before discounts)... The toys at Studio Grow seem to be more brainy, more intellectually stimulating, better for creative play... We also stay longer at Studio Grow because there's so much to do. Bring a lunch, they have a nice kitchen to have drinks, snacks and lunch. GO! IT'S FUN!

My daughter LOVES Studio Grow. I LOVE Studio Grow. Amazingly they are able to keep it clean and picked up. And everything there is wonderful for exploring little minds. I especially enjoy singalong and parachute time. It is a great mix of kids. And the staff is remarkably nice and pleasant despite the fact they have a tough job to do. It is worth the admission. Best to get the multiple monthly passes.

Very clean and beautiful indoor play place. There is a nursing room for moms. and several (clean) bathrooms with changing stations. The wonderful eating area for the kids includes several tables, water, and a microwave. When you enter there is a room full of blocks and hands on building and exploring toys. Then there is a music room where the kids can boogie with tambourines, pom poms, and bells. Just past that is a mini kitchen/play house area. Then there is a puppet station, a book reading section, and an artwork area. The back room is a large indoor play place with a slide, climbing tubes, mini roller coaster, ball pit, basketball hoop, etc. Staff is always kind and friendly, we've been dozens of times and never had a negative interaction with any of the staff. Only cons are that since it is such a large space, it's hard to warm it up on cold days and hard to cool off on hot days.

Thank GOD for Studio Grow. Now that my daughter is a full-fledged toddler who runs around like crazy, Studio Grow is a godsend. Afternoons get tricky as she gets bored hanging around the house. Love that I can bring her here and get a bit of a mental break, as the place is baby proof for the most part! Still gotta make sure she doesn't try to swallow the little rubber lizards or eat the chalk, but mostly she's safe! Oh and she LOVES it here. I"m sure we'll be here often in the next few months as it gets colder & wetter in the afternoon.

This place will always hold a special place in my heart since it's where my daughter (now 3) started walking (at 9 months). That big open dance floor with a mirror all along one wall was just the motivation she needed to go from a step here and there to walking across the room...much to my great surprise! Studio Grow has been an awesome play space for her from infancy until now -- it is the perfect place to spend rainy days during these upcoming winter months. The storytime (music time light really, in my opinion), music time and parachute time in the morning are great. But really she prefers just running around in the big "green" room, hanging upside down from the climbing net, jumping on the mats, and riding the "roller coaster." The dancing room is also an area we spend a lot of time in, and she went through a phase of spending tons of time in the light room making patterns with the magnetic tiles in there. The pretend play areas (kitchen and dollhouses) are great, and my daughter spends a lot of time doing the little puzzle activities that the rotate on two different tables, especially when we are there later in the day when it's very quiet, and she's a little worn out from her day. She also types numerous e-mails on the old computer keyboards they have out. The art room is great, and they do such a nice job rotating through various things in there, like dot art, play dough, stamping, chalkboards etc. so there's always something interesting to do even if you come often (which we do in the winter months thanks to the winter pass -- well worth it!)... Any place that keeps my daughter completely entertained for 3.5 hours as it did the other day and has her saying "I want to stay longer!" is a win for me:)

Studio Grow was the perfect place for celebrating my daughter's 4th brithday. The staff was very helpful and attentive and I love how the setting really lets kids use their imagination, their play and creativity entertain themselves instead of flashing lights and dropping tokens at a Chucky Cheese casino. The space is huge and there are so many options for what the kids want to do. Their birthday sale was a great deal the only setback is we wish we could have stayed the whole day!!!

Just had my son's 1st birthday here. We invited kids that were about 9 years old and younger. After going to so many outdoor park and indoor pump it ups it was almost relaxing to watch the kids discover the different toys from space to space. From the "play house area" to the Disco room to the paint and small play structure all the age groups loved it. The "eating area" was spacious, clean and perfect for us to bring in our own catering. When it was time to clean up, no one rushed us or made us feel "on the clock" we swept up our mess and let the experts clean up after the kids in all the playrooms. I felt very satisfied for the cost and all my guest told me that I booked a great place, My INLAWS loved it and well that is always worth it. Thank you Staff of Studio Grow for being so professional and welcoming!

My son really enjoyed this place. We do playgroups there too. It's a very clean facility. Well maintained and safe environment. The kids have so much to occupy themselves with. Definitely one of our favorites!

My son (18 months) and I have been going to studio grow for several months now (started going shortly after they opened). His nanny and grandma also take him occasionally and we all enjoy going. Studio grow is clean with lots of fun toys in different stations. It provides a good opportunity for kids and moms to socialize and is in a prime location- near Starbucks, shopping, and the ever-exciting (if you're 18 months old) ducks of Blackhawk Plaza. Really a God-send on a super hot or cold/rainy day in particular!

I had a opportunity to take my grandson who is 11 mos today and he had a ball! This is a hidden secret for all....the place is not only clean it is a place a child can be a child...every room was well kept and allowed for learning. I had previously visited the Jungle the day before and almost could not believe they still allow this place to stay open. I was glad to see that Studio Grow understand that children not only need a safe place to play but also a CLEAN place to play. If you are interested in spending time with your child and able to put the phone, computer and work on hold you might also see that Studio Grow has a lot to offer adults as welll...such as a chance to actually watch your children GROW right in front of your eyes
